CARE GUIDE - LUGGAGE & UMBRELLAS
HOW TO CARE FOR LEATHER LUGGAGE AND MEN'S ACCESSORIES
Good quality leather luggage can be a much loved travel companion and will age well with the right care.
Use a high quality leather protector or polish, but take care as even a clear polish can change the colour of the leather. Test on a small, inconspicuous area. Deal with marks and stains on a regular basis, using a leather cleaner. Store in a clean and dry place, away from direct sunlight. Avoid over filling bags and cases.
Though designed to provide shelter, umbrellas need to be cherished and looked after too.
To open, hold the umbrella pointing downwards, lift slightly and slide open. Do not allow the underside of the umbrella to get wet, as it may rust. Leave the umbrella open to dry, but not directly against a heater. When dry, fold it away carefully. First pull out any fabric caught in the metal ribs, then smooth down in a circular motion from the top.
