Whether made from wool, cashmere or angora, beautiful knitwear needs more careful handling than most fabrics.
Machine washing is fine, but always use the hand wash setting and never go above 30 degrees.
Fine knitwear should never be tumble-dried as the heat may damage fibres. Air-drying is far better.
After washing, lay the knit on a flat surface and stretch it out a little. Never twist or wring it to remove excess water.
Be sure to turn knits inside out first, and press with a cool iron.
