Rigorous cleaning and good storage will help maintain the shape of the shoe and prevent leather from cracking.
Always use natural wood cedar shoe trees. They absorb moisture and keep the shoe in the correct shape. Polish leather shoes regularly. Clean with a brush first, then apply high quality polish or cream with a cloth. For extra shine, dampen a cotton wool ball and buff the polished leather in small circular motions. Brush suede gently with a suede brush or steam with an iron – but do not iron directly on to the suede.
